Keeping Your Evidence Current
Published 14/10/2026

Are your crucial documents nearing their expiry dates, risking your bid readiness? Proactively managing these dates is key to maintaining compliance and ensuring you always have valid supporting evidence.
Three Steps to Track Evidence Expiry
- Understand Effective and Expiry Dates: Evidence items have an effective date, marking when they are valid, and an expiration date. The expiration date is calculated from the effective date and a predefined schedule, often ranging from 90 to 364 days Source: Strike Graph.
- Adjust Effective Dates When Necessary: If documentation was uploaded later than the event it represents, or if a more recent version is unavailable, you can adjust the effective date. This recalculates the expiration date, extending perceived validity if needed Source: Strike Graph. Navigate to your evidence repository, select the item, and choose to "Change Effective Date" Source: Strike Graph.
- Avoid Updating Auto-Collected Attachments: For automatically collected evidence, it is generally best not to alter the effective date. Doing so might prevent future automated collection if the updated date makes a manually uploaded attachment appear more recent Source: Strike Graph.
Ensure your tender submissions are always supported by up to date evidence.
